[OPEN LOG] Welcome to Cape Beryl!

Who: Everyone!
When: Spring 2nd - all day.
Where: All across Cape Beryl.
What: You've splashed down into the Harvest Goddess's sacred pond, pulled yourself out - or perhaps been pulled out by an out-of-breath and soaking stranger, shaken off the worst of the shock of the cold and the unexpected trip underwater, and likely by now noticed that the little silver piece of jewelry that put you through this seems to have found its way around your neck.

Now you ought to get your bearings. Leave Goddess Grotto whenever you're ready, take the path out along a beach and up the cliffs to a village - see where you are, maybe if you can get directions. No matter what, you're going to realize that you're somewhere new - but maybe some of the Bower Village townspeople will be willing to help you get sorted out. If nothing else, maybe you'll be drawn into talking to anyone else you might catch sight of wandering the village, disoriented, soaked to the skin, and with a silver heart-shaped pendant around their neck. Depending on how you see it, you're not all alone - not any more than everyone else, anyway.

Headers for open interactions in example locations will be posted - but by all means, start threads wherever and with whoever you like!

Rating: Expected K-PG - subject to change as appropriate.

It's a cool, early spring day - the air and the breeze may not agree with anyone with wet clothes. But apart from that, the atmosphere is pleasant and peaceful; distant chirps of birds can be heard from the mouth of Goddess Grotto to Mt. Throne. The trees and grasses are pale green and flowers are budding in the meadows - not to mention the garden at Florist Lilia and de Sainte-Coquille Park.

And the town at the top of the cliffs is somewhat drowsily at peace. It's far from deserted - stabled behind a house on the town's east side is a healthy-looking mule, and a pair of chickens and a goat hang around in a pen behind an inn, the town's brightly-dressed mailwoman is out and about, as is the town watchman, who will likely be ready to approach anyone with an unfamiliar face before they can approach him, if he happens to catch them on his rounds. However, although anyone may freely knock on any of the doors in Bower Village and expect a polite "come in", no one is prepared for company, and whoever is inside might jump at finding themselves talking to a clearly displaced stranger!

Well, it was not like she had a choice, wasn't she? Considering for around five seconds or so, Deuce sighed up a little before she gave her answer.

"On one condition," her tone was entering the lecturing tone again as her gaze pierced right at Zed's direction. "No more stalking included."

After living as a soldier for a long time, she had used that tactics for Fal'cie knows how much. But she was still against such plan if that was possible. Only when the exact time rose that Deuce would obey such a plan.

"As I was not stalking you, I see no difficulty whatsoever in agreeing to your condition! No more stalking! I will spread the word to everyone we know."

Zed's tone, in turn, was casual, almost flippant. It felt like he'd finally come out ahead of what had started out a very alarming conversation. More than that, he didn't really see how what he'd done qualified as "stalking" - it wasn't like he'd meant her any harm. He'd just been gathering information, which he'd agreed to do with a few of the other prisoners.

"Excellent! So that is that, then."

That was what Zed's thought, because in her eyes, that was quite a form of stalking for he didn't ask for her permission headfirst. Then again, everyone's method was different so that was rather understandable for her.

Letting out a small sight that vented out every bit of her disagreement toward Zed, Deuce relaxed herself on her spot.

"Then," it was then when her face turned all smile and beatific again. "I look forward to be your acquaintances, Mister Zed."

That was what Zed thought. As Deuce would soon learn, Zed was a misguided and uninformed individual on many levels. He'd reached the point where he almost never meant any harm, but that didn't always matter.

So he heard the disappointment in that sigh, but no dots were connected as a result.

"And I look forward to yours', Miss Deuce!" Well, it seemed the situation had improved markedly. Zed gave himself a mental pat on the back. "I was going to go to work finding my way away from this place. When I discover the path, I will come back and tell you, never fear!"

His loud and bright optimism was actually touching her fondness a little. He kinda reminded her of a certain classmate with coiffed hair, and yet another classmate with a long pigtail. She would never able to admit it casually, but she was always looking forward to be a person with more... outgoing nature.

Though, Zed's next statement brought the brunette to her surprise, albeit very tiny.

"Where? How?"

"Hm?"

And, in turn, Deuce's questions brought Zed up short, catching him fairly obviously off guard. He blinked at her for a second, apparently having no idea what she was talking about.

"I am going to walk until I figure out where I am. I have never seen anyplace like this before. Hence, it should not take me long at all to get back to a place I have seen before. This is pure and simple logic."

He nodded to himself - the plan sounded even more definite when he said it out loud. Logic, indeed. And Zed could go a long way without getting tired. Not to mention being able to run like hell if some monster or another decided to give chase. Maybe it wasn't the cool thing to do, but that was the advantage of going off by himself for this. No one would know.
