Reminded of the necklace, Lily tugged at hers again. Unlike the protective medallions she made, the chain on this was obviously too short to go over her head without some kind of clasp. Yet, feeling along the links, she couldn't find any such fastener.

"Where the heck is the clasp on this thing?"

And no boats either. "Maybe, we could hike to the next town if necessary. This place isn't an island, right?"
