All the same, if anywhere would work, Zed thought they had a good chance if it was here. There was something...neglected about the place, a sense of beauty and life hidden by time and debris, that wasn't there with the rest of what he'd seen of Cape Beryl. It reminded him of Filgaia, in a lot of ways.

It took a bit of a hop, but Zed managed to reach up enough to grab a plm down from the tree. It wasn't ripe, this early in the spring, but he neither noticed nor cared. Curiosity was a powerful force.
